Prime Minister provides Youth 4 Unity with message of support

The Australian Prime Minister, The Honourable Kevin Rudd MP, provided Youth 4 Unity with message of support for the Youth4Unity National Leadership Day Congress and Multicultural Concert.

The first annual Youth4Unity National Youth Leadership Day Congress and Multicultural Concert are excellent opportunities for Queensland's Youth to showcase their talent, creativity and leadership.

I am delighted to know that students from all over Queensland and interstate are expected to participate in the Youth4Unity National Youth Leadership Day Congress and Multicultural Concert, to coincide with the Q150, Youth Week and B150 celebrations being held throughout Brisbane. Each of the Youth4Unity events presents a unique opportunity for talented and creative young people to join together in the spirit of equality, justice and peace, to further develop their character and skills with the aim of becoming inspirational leaders. True leadership is about service - service to your community and to your nation.

The greatest leaders are those who serve those who are most in need; leaders who act with integrity and conviction and who unite in the interest of a whole community. Leaders with these attributes and a creative vision for Australia will make a real difference both now and in the future.

To all the students and young people participating in the Youth4 Unity National Youth Leadership Day Congress and Multicultural Concert, I hope that your participation brings you new insights and the opportunity to meet other young people with a common vision and appreciation for a diverse Australia.
